We have numerous ongoing and completed clinical trials in almost all areas of cardiology, encompassing many types of clinical conditions. Our practice has been commended for being among centers with the highest enrollment rates in the nation for several respected international clinical trials.

Our patients have access not only to the most advanced pharmaceutical and medical device technologies approved by the FDA, but also to the many potential upcoming new medicines and devices not yet available to the general public, through clinical trials.

Heart Failure 
  • FINEARTS-HF - Study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a new drug for treatment of diastolic heart failure.
  • DIAMOND-HF - Study of an FDA-approved drug for a new indication, in treatment of patients who are otherwise unable to tolerate their heart failure medications due to development of electrolyte disturbances.
  • HEART-FID - Evaluation of the efficacy of iron therapy in patients with symptomatic heart failure with iron deficiency. 
Medical Devices
  • AIM-POWER - Artificial Intelligence Mobile Health Trial Of A Digital Platform To Optimize Heart Failure Therapy Using Wearable Sensors
  • OPT-HF - A clinical trial to assess the role of continued use of LifeVest wearable defibrillator in heart failure patients who might otherwise require implantation of a defibrillator. 
Cholesterol, Heart Attacks, and Coronary Artery Disease
  • SOS-AMI - Administration of a single-dose injectable antiplatelet medicine at the earliest signs of a possible heart attack to mitigate poor outcomes in patients with prior history of heart attacks.
  • Lpa HERITAGE - A study in prevalence of high Lpa (a type of bad cholesterol) amongst patients who have had a heart attack or stroke. Blood levels of this type of bad cholesterol is genetically determined and lifestyle or diet do not alter it.
  • Lpa-HORIZON - Study of the impact of a new medicine to lower high levels of Lpa bad cholesterol in patients with prior heart attack or stroke.
  • AEGIS-II - Efficacy of administration of ApoA (a type of good cholesterol) to high risk patients experiencing heart attacks.
Rhythm Problems
  • NODE-303 - Evaluation of a new nasal spray for treatment of patients with palpitations and intermittent rhythm problems (SVT).
